From 11 March to 30 april 2016, Monnaie de Paris presents the Jannis Kounellis exhibition, one of the giants of contemporary art, curated by Chiara Parisi, Director of Cultural Programmes.

Kounellis takes his inspiration from the last factory in Paris and the importance of energy to create a "liberating project". The artist invites visitors to question the production process of a work of art. The artist's work is born in doing, through labour in the workshop, through the intuition of forms, through modelling. The materials used by Kounellis in his installations are political messages as well as messages of history, time and memory.
