BIENALSUR is the first International Biennal of Contemporary Art of South America.

BIENALSUR will simultaneously connect over 30 cities in 15 countries and will gather over 250 artists and curators from the five continents. The launch will take place in Buenos Aires, Argentine, the 14th of September.

Conceived on the basis of a global network of institutional collaboration that erases distances and borders, and upholds singularity in diversity, BIENALSUR proposes a vast territory built upon the perspective of a “Global South”.

The objective of the International Contemporary Art Biennial of South America is to establish a real presence of South America in the global art arena and contribute to the creation of a cultural citizenship.

This biennale brings together many artists, including : Ernesto Ballesteros, Christian Boltanski, Celeste Boursier Mougenot, Ana Gallardo, Anna Bella Geiger, Voluspa Jarpa, Guillermo Kuitca, Cildo Meireles, Oscar Muñoz, Graciela Sacco, Tatiana Trouvé.
