PHILIPPE VANDENBERG AND BERLINDE DE BRUYCKERE, "IL ME FAUT TOUT OUBLIER"

This exhibition brings together the work of two Belgian artists from different generations : the sculptor Berlinde Bruyckere ( born in 1964 in Ghent) and painter, Philippe Vandenberg ( 1952 -2009 Ghent , Brussels), who have almost never been exhibited in France. For the exhibition ‘Un grand amour suffit’ a selection of paintings by Berlinde are shown and drawings by Philippe Vandenberg that echo his own work, establishing an intense dialogue between the two works. An imposing sculpture of wax and cloth, made especially for the exhibition follows the one presented in the Belgian pavilion at the last Venice Biennale.
