The Centre Pompidou Mobile is the first touring museum in the world. Its purpose is to bring masterpieces of modern art to the public, and specifically to the public distant from culture. Designed by architect Patrick Bouchain, the Centre Pompidou MOBILE (650m²) was inaugurated in October 2011 in Chaumont (Haute-Marne) and has since stopped in various locations throughout France. Its ambition is to present works from its world-renowned collection of masterpieces (Picasso, Calder, Matisse, Léger…) and make of modern and contemporary art accessible to a very large audience. La Fabrique is a new cultural space in Nantes dedicated to contemporary art and specially music and new numerical technologies. Initiated by the City of Nantes, it is part of a wider a new cultural and artistic outreach project, which combines land planning and cultural networking. This exhibition presentq a selection of historical pieces and new works from the François Pinault Collection, including several site-specific projects, which question the idea of uncertainty, our convictions about identity, and revisit the relationship between intimate space and the space of the artwork. Among the twenty artists in the exhibition In Praise of Doubt, almost half of them have never been included in previous exhibitions of the François Pinault Collection. Adolf Wölfli is one of the world’s most established Art Brut artist (1864 - 1930). He was a writer, composer and draughtsman dedicated to one mission: to reinvent the world. This solo exhibition will present with over 150 Wölfli’s works, in a chronological review of his drawings and writings, revealing his unique musical universe. From the 17 December 2010 to the 27 April, the Farnese Palace in Rome is exceptionally opening its doors to the public for the exhibition "From The Renaissance to The French Embassy". A selection of 150 works (drawings, sculptures, paintings, art objects) will bring five centuries to life through the history of the Palace, from the splendour of the Farnese family in the 16th century, through the 135 past years, when the Palace served as the headquarters for the French Embassy in Italy and the French School of Rome. An important selection of works from the Farnese collection will return from the site where it was first conceived thanks to the passion of the Farnese family.
