RC LOUVRE. MEMORIES OF BLOOD AND GOLD

Louvre-Lens

Established in 1906, Racing CLub de Lens - commonly called RC Lens - is the city's iconic football club. Llike the players, RC Lens fans are nicknamed "Sang et Or" (Blood and Gold) and are renowned for their great passion.
As part of the events accompanying UEFA EUro 2016 - with 4 matches being hosted in Lens in June - the Louvre-Lens Museum wished to pay tribute to these supporters with an exhibition that showed the various aspects of their tight bond with the club.
The exhibition displays objects and testimonies from Lens enthusiasts, which have been gathered together through a collection held in summer 2015, in partnership with the National Sports Museum.
