Images that tell stories

Still or moving images with sport as the common denominator. It makes for a fascinating theme because it contains all the ingredients needed to create a good image: aesthetic power, but also emotional impact. It associates the spectacular with a form of depth that comes from the stories and memories it generates. Comprising photographs, videos and installations, SportFoto will be on view at the Tripostal, the Gare Saint Sauveur, the Musée de l’Hospice Comtesse and throughout the city.

This event is made up of some twenty exhibitions that explore the great narrative of sport while also focusing on the smaller stories found within it. It aims to highlight the artistic dimension of the sporting image, but also the strength of its viewpoint and its ability to tap into our emotions, passion or nostalgia.
