Considered as the Nobel Price for Arts, the Praemium Imperiale is awarded to the laureates for their entire artistic career in five fields : Painting, Sculpture, Architecture, Music and Theatre/Film. It also support artistic practice amongst the youth through the Praemium Imperiale Grant for Young Artists. 

The announcement of the Praemium Imperiale's 33rd edition's laureate takes place Thursday, September 15 at la Bourse de Commerce - Pinault Collection.
