FORMES VIVANTES

SEVRES – MANUFACTURE ET MUSEE NATIONAUX

"Formes vivantes" (The Living Forms) exhibition highlights the links that unite the mineral world, derived from the earth, and the world of the living, organic, animal and vegetable.

With nearly 350 works, ceramics from the Renaissance to the present day, alongside paintings, pieces of silverware or scientific objects with which they can interact, the exhibition asks us about our own relationship with the living.

We thus (re)discover a medium resolutely anchored in its time and which inspires, today more than ever, contemporary artists such as Giuseppe Penone, Johan Creten or Elsa Guillaume.

Conceived by the Adrien Dubouché Museum in Limoges in 2019, the exhibition will be given a second wind as it continues to move to the Musée de Sèvres.
