The Bemberg Foundation presents an exhibition dedicated to Renaissance jewelry, forty years after the one organized by the Victoria and Albert Museum in London in 1980, "Princely Magnificence: Court Jewels of the Renaissance, 1500-1630".
Four decades later, this project marks a significant milestone in showcasing the progress of research and introducing the public to a lesser-known aspect of the history of precious ornamentation and the decorative arts of the Renaissance.
The exhibition features numerous exceptional loans made possible through the generosity of many French and international lenders, including public museums, institutions, and private collectors. Among them are the National Museum of the Renaissance–Château d’Écouen, the Louvre Museum, the Château de Fontainebleau, the Château de Versailles, the Museum of Decorative Arts, the Victoria and Albert Museum, the British Museum, the Rijksmuseum, and the Danish Royal Collection.
