Echo of the morning
Return of the light
The admiration towards the love object is infinite.
– Louise Bourgeois
Following its launch in January 2025, Norway’s newest museum PoMo will present “Louise Bourgeois – Echo of the Morning”; a major exhibition dedicated to the work of Louise Bourgeois from 5 February - 31 May 2026. Curated by the renowned writer and curator Philip Larratt-Smith and organised in collaboration with The Easton Foundation, the exhibition centres around a remarkable series of gouaches the artist made in the last four years of her life, in dialogue with a series of important sculptures and installation works from throughout Bourgeois’s career. It is the first solo presentation of the artist’s work in Mid-Norway.
Further exhibition programme in 2026 at PoMo will include solo exhibitions with Catherine Opie (25 June 2026 – 24 January 2027) and Ken Price (25 June 2026 – 24 January 2027).
