In 2026, Malagasy artist Temandrota, the first recipient of the Prix Paritana, celebrates 30 years of artistic career. On this occasion, Fondation H dedicates to him the monographic exhibition Masoandro amam-bolana [From the Sun and Moon]. Fondation H has consistently followed and supported Temandrota’s work for a decade. Curated by Tamsin Hong and Hobisoa Raininoro, the exhibition explores the artist’s plastic, spiritual, and philosophical universe, unfolding a reflection on the relationship between humanity, the living world, and the cosmos. Temandrota, whose real name is Randriahasandrata Razafimandimby, is a Malagasy artist born in 1975 in Antananarivo, where he currently lives and works. His work, which spans a variety of media (painting, sculpture, installation, performance), draws its inspiration from the culture of the Tandroy people, a community in south-eastern Madagascar amongst whom he grew up.
