This projects aims to create a contemporary art trail around the European Capital of Culture region. Ulysses’ journey is a great work of the imagination and a cornerstone of Western literature. Using an interdisciplinary approach, more than forty different partners — contemporary art galleries, heritage sites and outdoor venues — will work together on this theme to create a wide range of events. Throughout 2013, exhibitions, artist commissions, residencies, and special events will take visitors on a journey that will be just as exciting as the original. Over one hundred artists will participate in the adventure, including: Cécile Bart, Wang Bing, Mona Hatoum, Fabrice Lauterjung, Cildo Meireles, Hans Op de Beeck, Yazid Oulab, Miguel Palma, Claudio Parmiggiani, Franck Pourcel, Philippe Ramette, Nicolas Rubinstein and Barthélémy Toguo
