From the basins of the Grand Port Maritime to the Vieux-Port, these seafarers will line up for a festive parade on the water along the Corniche all the way to L’Estaque. Maritime occupations and food will be celebrated in a convivial atmosphere at the J4 with the Grandes Carrioles and at the Vieux-Port with several large yachts and old rigs that will be invited to drop anchor. At nightfall, the J4 will transform into an artistic stage and the Marseille instalment of Revelations will set up on Château d’If.

Rendezvous on the esplanade of the J4 and the quai de la Fraternité in Marseille from noon to 10pm:

This convivial space is open to the public. Starting at noon, food will be available thanks to the Grandes Carrioles food cart project and starting at 1pm you can hear a live commentary of the Grand Maritime Parade.

From 5:30pm to 7pm on the quai de la Fraternité:

While the cruise ships and ferries take to the sea, old sailboats and a collection of other remarkable vessels enter the Vieux Port to the music of the Toulon fleet’s naval orchestra.

From 5pm to 22pm at the J: DJ set and aperitifs as the sun sets.

Sunday 8 September: Participate in the great treasure hunt ‘Les secrets de la Marseillade’!

This treasure hunt is offered by thé Chambre de Commerce et d’Industrie de Marseille Provence in connection with September at Sea. Continuous departures between 10am and 3pm from the Palais de la Bourse. Participation is free.
