MARSEILLE-PROVENCE 2013 : THE ISLAND OF MONTMAJOUR. BY CHRISTIAN LACROIX AUTOUR WITH THE CIRVA

ARLES - ABBAYE DE MONTMAJOUR

As a young boy growing up in Arles, the Abbey of Montmajour was a treasure island to Christian Lacroix. Today, the Centre des Monuments Nationaux gives the designer free rein of the abbey to put together an exhibition from the Cirva’s exceptional collection (International Centre for Research on Glass and Contemporary Arts, located in Marseille). It will feature precious religious objects, sculptures, photographs, costumes, light installations and enamel work. Éditions du Patrimoine will also publish a book made during the installation of the exhibition.
