On April 22, 2025, the Museum of Decorative Arts and Design (MADD Bordeaux) will reopen its doors, marking a key milestone in a major renovation project that will continue until 2027.
The reopening will take place in two stages, beginning in spring 2026.
The entire wing along Rue Boulan—including the reception area, new exhibition spaces, and restaurant—as well as the former prison will be open to the public on April 22.
Three inaugural exhibitions will be presented on this occasion:
- Pauline Deltour, une apparente simplicité (April 22 – September 21, 2026) presented in the prison,
- Céramiques, corps sensibles (April 22, 2026 – January 4, 2028) presented in the Gallery of Craftsmanship,
- Morceaux choisis. Regard sur la collection de dessins de Jacques Sargos (April 22 – August 31, 2026), presented in the Graphic Arts Room.
